How is this possible?

London For London is proud to be working with two of the capital’s leading charities whose work is making such a difference to young people’s lives across the city.

Kids Company

Kids Company is a charity founded by Camila Batmanghelidjh in 1996 in order to provide practical, emotional and educational support to vulnerable inner-city children and young people.
Kids Company operates through two street level centres in South London, as well as offering therapeutic and social work services in 33 schools. In 2007 Kids Company was awarded the Liberty and Justice Human Rights Award.

The Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) Volunteer Police Cadets (VPC) is a youth diversion/youth engagement programme for young people living in the 32 Boroughs that comprise London. The VPC offers fantastic opportunities for youth in a wide range of activities designed to enhance their life and citizenship skills. It is intended to compliment their social development in preparation for ongoing education and/or employment. For a number of the Cadets this includes giving them an opportunity to divert them away from involvement in crime and anti-social behaviour.

95.8 Capital FM’s Help a London Child was launched in 1975 by Lord Attenborough CBE. Over the last thirty-four years, the charity has raised in excess of £20,000,000 and awarded more than 10,000 grants to small groups and charities, working with London’s less advantaged and most vulnerable children and young people. The projects which Help a London Child funds include support groups for children and young people living with a disability, special need or illness, refuge & homelessness projects as well as a range of sports, music, drama and leisure activities and youth clubs, providing practical and lasting support to thousands of youngsters aged 18 and under.
